Managing Broker Pre-License

This classroom / interactive delivery course introduces participants to real world situations via role play. Topics covered include: dual agency disclosure problems, commission disputes, team activities, contract disputes, problems that arise with use of internet and social media for business, ethics, confidentiality issues, short sales and foreclosure problems, and clear title problems.

Short Sale & Foreclosure

Knowing how to maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as how to identify the distinct real estate opportunities in foreclosure are not merely good skills to possess in today’s market – they are critical! This course is specifically designed to show how practitioners can serve as resources for sellers and buyers in brokerage of distressed properties.

IDFPR

According to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR): "Only licensed managing brokers designated with the Department as a managing broker by their sponsoring broker can advertise themselves to the public as a managing broker. Managing brokers that are not designated with the Department as a managing broker should advertise themselves as a “broker.” This statement does not preclude the use of a descriptive term such as “listing,” “commercial” or “buyer’s” along with “broker.”

Steps to Renew Your License

REMINDER: Broker license renewal deadline is April 30, 2014. Unless you are an active attorney, you must complete CE requirements according to your license category. Brokers who have just obtained their very FIRST real estate license are required to complete a 30-hour Broker Post-License Class to qualify for renewal. Brokers who have maintained their license continuously are required to complete 12 hours of CE. Click here to find out if you have met your requirement.
