NSBAR Member Types

DR = Broker/Owner

Each company has only one DR for all the offices. This broker is the sponsoring broker or corporate officer/partner of the company. See NSBAR bylaws; article IV Membership Classification, section 1c.

RM = Realtor Manager or Office Manager

This is the broker who is the acting manager of the office. In one-man offices this is the same person as the DR, and in the case of larger companies, this person is the branch manager.

R = Realtor

This type refers to a salesperson or broker associate in an office.

L = Lifetime Member

This classification is conferred upon members by NAR, who have been members of NAR for 40 years. Their dues are paid by NSBAR.

RE = Realtor Emeritus

This classification is conferred upon members by the NAR, who have been members of NAR for 40 years. Their dues are paid by NSBAR, but they continue to pay MLS access

fees.

AF = Affiliate Member

This is a member who does not hold a real estate license, but whose business is real estate related, i.e. a mortgage company, bank, inspector, etc. They do not have access to MRED.

IA = Institute Affiliate

This is a highly specialized membership and rarely will this agent come to us first to join. They are usually a member of one of the institutes, societies, or counsels of NAR. They join NAR and NAR collects their membership dues.

SF = Non-member Licensee

This is an agent whose license is held by a broker in NSBAR, but this agent has not joined NSBAR. The broker is billed for their dues/fees. They do not have membership status and do not have access to supra products. They pay non-member prices for continuing education and supplies.

Member Status

P = Pending

This status indicates that the agent has not completed their mandatory orientation class. This class is required to be completed within 90 days of applying for membership. When in pending status, the agent does not have access to the ‘member’s only’ section of www.nsbar.org. They do have access to NAR’s website.

A = Active

This status indicates that the agent is active and in good standing with NSBAR.

T = Terminated

This status indicates that the agent no longer has membership with NSBAR and does not have access to MRED.

W = MLS service waived

This is an MLS status only and is given upon approval of the CEO of NSBAR.
