Revised TCP/IP Settings to Access Compass via your Internet Service Provider

 

 

 

 

 

 

Effective October 13, 1999, the Internet Provider address for the MLSNI Compass

system is 208.46.234.100

 

To change the settings in PC Access for Windows to access via TCP/IP do the following steps.

 

1:      Open the PC Access for Windows program

2:      Choose the setup option

3:      Choose the advance setup option

4:      Choose MLS Setup

                   The Login Script should read:  C:\PCAWIN\MLSNI.SCR

                   The Emulation should be Moore Compass

                   The Connection should be TCP-Telnet

          5:      Choose the TCP/IP tab at the top of the MLS setup menu.

                   The Host name or IP Address should be:  208.46.234.100

                   The Telnet TCP port should be 24

                   The Telnet force 8 bit should be checked.

6:      Choose OK and close the Setup menu.

 

To access, connect to your ISP and then choose the Call MLS option on the PC Access for Windows main menu.  You may switch between your Browser or e-mail program without logging off of Compass.

 

 

 

 

To access via TCP/IP connection using PC Access for Windows, you must have version 4.20.124 or greater.  If you have a previous version of PC Access for Windows you can upgrade your software to version 4.20.124, at no cost, by going to the MFM web site at http://www.mfm.com.  Go to Product Support, and follow the instructions for Update: PC Access for Windows Version 4.20.124.   To check which version of PC Access for Windows you are currently running, start the program and check the version number listed on the main menu.
