The National Association of REALTORS® government affairs division works with Congress and the Executive Branch to address proposed and existing federal real estate-related legislation and regulation.

NAR government affairs addresses a wide breadth of policy issues to ensure a healthy real estate climate and protect the rights of America’s property owners. From appraisal issues to health care for REALTORS® to VA loans, NAR is at the forefront of addressing the concerns of the 1 million members of NAR. It’s no wonder Fortune magazine regularly ranks NAR in the top 25 most influential organizations in DC.
All NAR policy issues are developed by members like you that volunteer to serve on various NAR committees. Additionally, each member of Congress is assigned a REALTOR® that volunteers to act as a liaison between NAR and that member of Congress.
