On February 24, we will be launching our new listing display controls in the Media tab of listing input in connectMLS. What’s new?
- Listing broker, after conferring with their seller, can now choose whether to:
- Allow display of price history on public consumer sites (IDX)
- Allow display of market time on public consumer sites (IDX)
- Allow display of automated price estimates on public consumer sites (IDX)
- Listing broker, after conferring with their seller, can now opt for a private listing to be shown on password-protected agent-client sites (VOW)
- We have redesigned the overall section to use less acronyms, break out choices into VOW or IDX for more clarity on how a listing is going to be displayed online, and reframed everything to follow the ‘Does your seller agree’ form based on focus group feedback
We have also attached the PDF mock ups, individual screenshots, and the spreadsheet we shared with data consumers if those are helpful.
We have sent multiple communications to the vendors who use our data on these changes and will continue to follow up with them as they have questions (latest communication linked here) . We wanted you to see how they would display in case there are any form updates or other considerations you may need to make as an association. Also, we will have specific subscriber communications that we will give you advance notice of the week before.
Thanks, and let us know if you have any questions!
P.S. Here is the training link for the MRED Class Guide to our most popular trainings we talked about in December, too, in case you didn’t grab it from chat during our last meeting.
