In an effort for our members to best comply with local municipal real estate policies, we distributed questionnaires to the local communities NSBAR’s Government Affairs department serves. The information is an abridgment of the municipality’s ordinances and policies related to real estate and should be interpreted as such. Municipal policies change, and there are limitations to this format, including outdated and incorrect information; the most precise understanding of a particular policy can best be ascertained by reading the municipal code which is of public record and usually posted on their respective websites. Many of the forms referred to in the questionnaires can be accessed on the NSBAR website under the Forms and Contracts tab.
If a municipality you live and/or office in has failed to return a completed questionnaire, please encourage them to do so.
