Here are three basic rules for business card titles for licensees:

1. If you are a REALTOR®, your business card must contain your name and your company name with any franchise affiliation.

 

For example

John Smith
Drone Realty Group

Or:

John Smith
REALTOR®
Drone Realty Group

 

2. If you are the Managing Broker, who is the company contact with the State of Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR), your business card must contain your name and include Managing Broker on it along with any franchise affiliation.

For Example

Jane Jones
Managing Broker
Drone Realty Group

 

3. If you are a REALTOR®, who holds a managing broker license, but are not the designated managing broker for an office, you cannot say managing broker on your card. Your business card must contain your name and your company name with any franchise affiliation.

 

For example

Mary Williams
Drone Realty Group

Or:

Mary Williams
REALTOR®
Drone Realty Group

 

Regarding other information on your business cards –

Business cards should include enough information to give a complete and accurate message.

There is no requirement for a specific address.

A photo is optional.

Do not put personal information, such as your license number or home address on your business card.
